You also have certain rights concerning the use of your data (access, modification, deletion, opposition to processing, etc.) which you can exercise directly with our DPO. To find out more about your rights, please refer to paragraph 10 of our Privacy Policy.
To exercise these rights (subject to proof of identity), you may contact the Data Protection Officer, appointed by Scutum Security First to deal with issues relating to the protection of your data:
– by e-mail to dpo@scutum.fr;
– or by post to the attention of the Data Protection Officer of the Scutum Group, 21 rue du Pont des Halles 94536 RUNGIS CEDEX – France.
All other useful information (third parties who access the data, relations with our service providers, transfer of your data outside the European Economic Area in certain cases, etc.) can be found in the following paragraphs of our Privacy Policy, which we hope you enjoy reading.
1. Scope of application
This Privacy Policy applies to the www.scutum-sf.com website and all its sub-domains (http://info.scutum-sf.com, http://operations.scutum-sf.com, http://intelligence.scutum-sf.com, http://digital.scutum-sf.com) (“the Website” or “the Site”). It is specific to the processing carried out on this site.
It applies to all employees of Scutum Security First and any of its subcontractors, wherever they may be located in the world.
2. What is personal data?
Personal data is any information relating to a person who is either identified or identifiable directly or indirectly. For example, your name, the pseudonym you use online, your photo, your address, your telephone number, etc., are personal data.
Information that does not allow us to establish a link with your person is not personal data.
3. What data are we likely to collect and process?
You can consult most of the pages of the Site without revealing your identity. If you wish to ask a question using our contact form, we will ask you to provide certain data enabling us to identify you, including your first and last names, your email address, your telephone number and the country concerned, so that we can reply to you. We will indicate with an asterisk (*) the data that is essential for us to be able to process your request and respond to your queries. The same applies if you wish to register to receive our Scutum Security First newsletter.
In addition, in order to attract talent from all backgrounds, we have created pages dedicated to employment at Scutum Security First. If you are interested in our job opportunities, we offer you the possibility of creating an account by entering additional personal information so that you can apply for vacancies at Scutum Security First. Further information on the collection, processing and use of your personal data by Scutum Security First will be provided to you at the time of registration, as part of a dedicated Privacy Policy.
In addition, when you access information on our Site, data enabling possible identification is recorded on our servers (for example the date, time and pages consulted, as well as your IP address) to enable you to access the requested page or for security reasons. At the end of the session, this data is either deleted immediately, anonymised for statistical analysis or kept for 12 months (if necessary for security reasons).
Finally, cookies may be placed on your browser at this time. For more information, please refer to paragraph 6.
4. For what purposes does Scutum Security First process and use your data?
We use your data for the following purposes:
– for system security reasons (on IP logs, in order, for example, to prevent any computer attack via an overload of our servers);
– to design a more fluid and ergonomic site, making it easier for you to find relevant information. To do this, we need to know, for example, which page has been consulted and when, which page is the most frequently visited, etc. Analyses are carried out for this purpose using the “Google Analytics” tool (see paragraph 9 below);
– in order to be able to reply to you if you contact us (we keep a record of the messages you send us and of our replies, so that we can provide you with an optimised service if you contact us again);
– to process job applications for our company;
– to send you our newsletters if you so wish;
– more generally, for commercial prospecting purposes.
Your personal data will only be processed and used for other purposes if you have given your consent or if your consent is presumed. Without this consent, your data will not be used for advertising purposes, for example. You have the right to revoke this consent at any time, using the options offered to you on our communication media or, in general, by writing to Scutum Security First’s Data Protection Officer at the address given in the preamble to this Policy.
Scutum Security First only processes your data as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. At the end of this period, the data is either deleted or irretrievably anonymised.
5. Is your data passed on to third parties?
Your personal data is stored either in our database and on our server or, where applicable, on the servers of a data processing subcontractor.
As Scutum Security First is a member of a global group, the teams responsible for processing your data may be located in many countries, including countries outside the European Economic Area whose level of personal data protection is not equivalent to that in the EEA. This is the case, for example, for the host of our Website.
In this case, Scutum Security First will ensure that these internal or external teams are subject to obligations similar to those existing in the EEA, for example via standard clauses or binding company rules.
We would also point out that, if you use social modules or your Facebook or LinkedIn account, the social networks in question may have access to some of the information (see below for more information).
Please note that if we are acquired by or merge with another company, or if there is a restructuring of the group, your personal data will be transferred to the new entity. If this happens, we will apply the same rules as set out in this Policy to your personal data and your rights in relation to its use.
However, by virtue of legal directives, we shall be obliged, in certain cases, to transmit your personal data to third parties, for example in the event of a presumption of infringement, or abusive use of our Site. In such cases, we are obliged to transmit your data to the competent authorities.
Our Website contains hyperlinks to the websites of other service providers. If you click on these links, you will be redirected to the websites of these providers. You will notice this, among other things, by the change of URL. We accept no responsibility for the confidential treatment of your data by these service providers, as we have no influence on their privacy policy.

For example, we use :
– Session cookies”: these remain stored in your browser only during your browsing session, i.e. until you leave the Site;
– Persistent cookies”: these remain in your browser after the session (unless you have deleted them);

7. Use of Google Analytics
Our Website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis tool based on the use of cookies and belonging to Google lnc (“Google”). The Google Analytics cookie enables an analysis of your use of our Website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the United States and stored there. This website uses Google Analytics with the “anonymizelp” extension, which anonymises IP addresses. This anonymisation ensures that Google abbreviates your IP address beforehand within the Member States of the European Union and in the other contracting countries of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, in order to exclude any direct identification of users. In exceptional cases, the full IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and abbreviated there. At Scutum Security First’s request, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide Scutum Security First with other services relating to the use of its website and the Internet. Within the framework of the use of Google Analytics, the IP address transmitted by your browser will not be combined with other information held by Google. You can deactivate the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate setting on your browser (see paragraph 6 above). In addition, you can prevent the transmission to Google of the information generated by the cookie and specific to the use of the Website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the following browser module by clicking on the link :

8. Use of social plug-ins
Our Site uses the “social plug-ins” of the social networks Facebook, LinkedIn, YouYube and Twitter, belonging respectively to Facebook lnc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, LinkedIn Headquarters 2029 Stierlin Ct. Ste. 200 Mountain View, CA 94043, USA , Twitter lnc, 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, Google lnc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, 94043, USA. These social plug-ins can be recognised by their respective logos. When you visit our Site, your browser does not establish any connection via these plug-ins with the servers of Facebook, LinkedIn, Google or Twitter.
In order to protect your data as much as possible when you use our Site, we have integrated these plug-ins in such a way that the connection to the operator of the social network is only established when you activate the plug-in by clicking on the corresponding icon (for example the Facebook “like” button). When the connection is established by activating the plug-in, we have no influence on the extent of the data collected by Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or Google. To the best of our knowledge, this includes the following information:
By interacting with one of the social plug-ins, the operator of the social network concerned receives information about the web page of our Site that you have visited. If at the same time you are connected to a social network, the operator of this social network may also associate the corresponding visits to your account with the social network. In addition, by activating a social plug-in, for example by clicking on the “like” button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted to the social network. Even if you are not a member of one of the social networks mentioned, it is possible that they may retrieve and, if necessary, record your IP address via the plug-in when you click on it.
For further details on the scope and purpose of the processing, collection and use of data by Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Google, as well as your rights in this respect and configuration options, please consult the respective privacy policies:
– https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation
– https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
– https://twitter.com/fr/privacy
– https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=fr&gl=fr
If you are a customer of one of the social networks listed, but do not want it to be able to collect your data from our Website and link it to your user account, you must disconnect from the social network concerned before clicking on a plug-in.
In addition, our Website contains hyperlinks to Scutum Security First publications on social networks. The companies that publish them provide you, directly on their respective websites, with information concerning the processing of your personal data.
9. Protection of stored data
Insofar as we collect data, we, or our subcontractor who is responsible for this, store it on particularly secure servers. Access is only authorised to a limited number of people responsible for technical, commercial or editorial maintenance.
To prevent any loss or misuse of the data recorded by Scutum Security First, we take technical and operational security measures which are regularly checked and updated in line with technological developments.
Depending on the type of data collected and the purposes for which it is to be used, it is only processed by authorised personnel in accordance with our confidentiality and security requirements when compiling files, exchanging information with our partners and subcontractors and transferring data.
10. Your rights in relation to the personal data we record
We remind you that you have the right:
– To be informed whether we store your data and what data is involved, as well as how your data is processed;
– To access your data;
– To object on legitimate grounds to your data being processed, and in particular to your data being used for commercial canvassing purposes;
– To restrict certain uses of your data without deleting them;
– To rectify information which, despite our efforts to maintain a compliant and up-to-date database, is incorrect, and to ask us to delete certain information;

– To withdraw your consent at any time (in cases where we rely on your consent);
– To define directives relating to the fate of your personal data after your death in application of article 32 of the law of 6 January 1978.
To exercise these rights (subject to proof of identity), please contact the Data Protection Officer:
– by e-mail at dpo@scutum.fr;
– or by post to the attention of the Scutum Group Data Protection Officer, 21 rue du Pont des Halles, 94536 RUNGIS Cedex – France.
We will do our best to answer your questions about the processing of your personal data. Nevertheless, if you are not satisfied with the answers you receive, you may, if you wish, lodge a complaint with the CNIL in accordance with the procedures set out on its website (https://www.cnil.fr/fr/vous-souhaitez-contacter-la-cnil).
11. Modification of this Privacy Policy
Scutum Security First reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time when necessary, for example due to the introduction of new functions or to comply with new legal provisions.
We therefore invite you to consult it regularly when you visit our Site: it can be consulted at any time by following the “legal information” link in the footer of any page on the Site.
